Last night the Carolina Hurricanes took down the Washington Capitals in an epic double overtime Game 7. The Capitals jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period, but seemed to get complacent as the game wore on. Teams traded goals in the second period and Carolina scored one late in the period to make the game 2-3 in favor of the Capitals. Early on in the third period Carolina player Jordan Staal tied the game up. For the rest of the period and into the first overtime Carolina looked like the more aggressive team and controlled the puck most of the time. Midway through the second overtime Hurricane player Brock McGinn scored the game-winning goal to seal the game and advance the Hurricanes to the second round. The game was the third-longest Game 7 in the history of the NHL. As the final game of the first round wrapped up, the second round games begin today. The Boston Bruins will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in Boston at 7pm. Too me I don’t have a clue who will win this game, but withe the Blue Jackets dominating the Lighting and having a lot of rest, I have them taking Game 1. The second game tonight is between the St.Louis Blues and the Dallas Stars at 9:30pm . It will be a home game for the Blues, who I believe will win this game and eventually the series.
The NFL draft also begins today with the first round live for Nashville,Tennessee at 8pm. The Arizona Cardinals will have the first pick in this years draft, followed by the San Francsisco 49ers and the New York Jet’s
