Last night the Boston Bruins ended the Toronto Maple Leaf’s season winning 5-1 in Boston. The game was close with the Bruins up just 2-1 after the second period, but an early 3rd period goal from Sean Kuraly help boost the Bruins to finishing the game and adding two more goals. The other game the night featured the San Jose Sharks beating the Las Vegas Knights in dramatic fashion to send the Sharks to the second round. Early in the 3rd period the Knights were up 3-0 and it looked like the Sharks season would soon come to an end. However, in a spam of just over 4 minutes the Sharks scored 4 goals all on the power play to take the lead. Just when the Sharks thought they had secured the win, Johnathan Marchessault of the Knights scored with under a minute left to play in the game and send it to overtime. In overtime Sharks player Barclay Goodrow put the game winner in the back of the net and advanced San Jose to the second round. The game that is featured tonight is another Game 7, this time between the Washington Capitals and the Carolina Hurricanes. The game will be played in Washington D.C. with puck drop at 7:30pm. In a series were each team has won at home, it would seem like the Capitals have the advantage. I do think it will be close, but if the Hurricanes keep playing aggressive they will go on to win 4-3.
